NEW Mixed media Originals - Radiant Bali
I aim to transform empowering messages with symbolism into radiant, talismanic fine jewellery and visual mixed media artworks on paper.
My creations capture enriching travel memories, light, the wellbeing effects of connecting to nature’s beauty, and cultural essences. Through textures, exquisite details, organic forms, graceful rythms and vibrant coloured gemstones they evoke a soulful connection and sensory experience to the viewer.
The harmoniously dynamic compositions invite you to feel a soulful connection with a wondrous sensory experience enhancing both your private or public spaces.
The Story:
My Bali trip has been such an enriching solo travel experience that I felt inspired to communicate visually and transmit these memories and learnings. It takes courage, curiosity and a sense of adventure for the unknown to explore new horizons.
My intentions was to research the Balinese culture and explore how they create harmony and balance in their daily life. It's philosophy to connect to nature, the spiritual and its community are all linked together for a harmonious life.
Their Hindu symbolism in tropical flowers and daily sacred temple rituals influenced my artworks conceptual message a great deal. Each piece is infused with an empowering theme: :Abundance, Resilience, Prosperity, Serenity, Radiance etc...
All themes invites us to seek strength to continue, reenergise, rejuvenate or quietly reflect, rest and dream. Balancing life's achievements, rising up to challenging moments and enjoying pleasurable experiences.
Creative Development:
I started making artworks to highlight the empowering messages I wanted to share visually. Infusing a sense of soulfulness and bringing natures spirit indoors.
Creating and viewing art lifts the mood, calms the mind, allows us to slow down, be mesmerised by colours, textures, the beauty of natural forms and ultimately awaken our senses in a harmonious and peaceful way with joy! ✨
I found it helpful to find balance within us again after busy day in front of screens - that quiet reflection and meditative awareness to feel deeply and breathe again.
This was an opportunity to research, practice and experiment my artistic language and how each medium adds to the desired feel and look intuitively and intentionally.
Loved experimenting with these art mediums Gouache, ink pencils, gold acrylic and rubber stamps and practice my technical skills. It feels very rewarding. The hours of work were worth it. A sense of deep satisfaction flowed within me when I saw the beautiful results I was happy with!
